The National Treasury is in a process of centralising the supplier database for Government.
The Central Supplier Database (CSD) can be accessed at www.csd .gov.za from 01 September 2015 and all suppliers will be able to self- register.
Kindly note that from 01 April 2016 all the Government Department including Economic Development Department (EDD) will be utilising the CSD for all procurements and EDD's database will no longer be used.

The Economic Development Department is the department of the South African government responsible for economic policy, economic planning and economic development.
The Department has offices in Pretoria, Sunnyside and Cape Town, EDD is responsible for ensuring that it carries its mandate diligently and the mandate is implemented nationally through its stakeholders nationally, regionally and internationally which requires staff travel continually to various destinations.
Travel arrangements will consist of air travel, hotel accommodation, airport transfers, shuttle services, car rentals and conferencing.
The Economic Development Department (EDD) invites all suitably qualified and capable firms to submit proposals for the travel management services for both International and domestic travel as well as accommodation, transfers, car rental and conference facilities.

The Economic Development Department wishes to advise members of the public, particularly those in business, to be alert to a scam utilizing the logo of the Economic Development Department. The fraudsters involved send unsuspecting business operators a Request for Quotations for the provision of Solar Panels.
As the Economic Development Department, we wish to state that we do not have such a project, and therefore beware that the Request for Quotation is not from the Economic Development Department.
